World Sharing Is Happening Here

It is time again for another Share Your World! This time both existential and silly. How would you answer?

What was the last URL that you bookmarked or saved?

I giggled when I looked this up. I bookmarked: The Rise of Industrial America. There is a story that I’ve worked on since NaNo a few years ago, and it takes place during the Guilded Age, I think. I saved it for research.

Do you believe in the afterlife?  Reincarnation?

Yes. Yes, I believe in Something After Death. What form it exactly takes I can’t imagine, and I wonder if my puny mortal mind is really supposed to be able to comprehend it. I know some people think that’s a cop out or an excuse, that the human brain can’t fathom what God does because God is God.

But I think that’s really true. God, or however you choose to name your Higher Diety, is the Creator of everything, which, when you try to think about it, is more than any of us can comprehend. (Hence the need for science.)

So why isn’t it all possible? I don’t even think I can fathom what’s possible; that’s how magnificent and awesome God is, and God’s plan for after this life is equally so.

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels?

Not poems. I don’t really feel poetry; not very often. Right now, I’m writing a lot of short stories, but I want to write a novel. A longer one. I’ve got an idea for one longer one rumbling around.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. 

I got paid for a month’s work of freelance writing. I’m sorry if that sounds cold, but it’s the first time I’ve been paid for writing, and here we are.

I am a professional writer.  (Insert jaw-dropped OMG here, because I can’t believe it.)

If a movie was made based on your life, what actor/actress would play you?

Oh, please let it be Carey Mulligan or Anna Charlotte Martin.  Lovely, both of them. Have you seen them in anything?

If you could be famous for one thing, what would it be?

Research. Like, uncovering some brilliant and being the world’s foremost expert on it.
