We all wanted the same thing, and I was one of the first ones taken off the rack. A brand new scrunchy. Like the others, I was white decorated with a red emblem. I was edged with a fine, though lengthy, lace trim. A woman bought me and took me to her home. I was so excited to see the world.

As part of my personal 2018 1/12 Challenge, I am aiming to read 24 books this year, which I know doesn’t sound like much, but its a lot compared to the 0 books I’ve been reading since I had Wee One. I’m doing the reading challenge on Goodreads (Are you, too? Check out my list and let me know what books are good!) and thank God they permit rereading books, because otherwise, I don’t know if I would have finished. The whole Harry Potter series has brought me a long way to my goal.
Just this weekend, there was another book I read, one I haven’t thought of in 25 years.

The Messes We Live With
My mother was a cleaning lady, cleaning other people’s homes. Our own home was never so clean – her boyfriends never picked up after themselves. Our own home was filthy, and I couldn’t stand to be there. My own home is spotless, not a blemish to be seen.
New Story Idea
Things are really exciting at Creo Somnium right now because I had a new story idea, and I’m also working on it in a different way than I have in the past. I’m doing more planning than I used to do, when I would just sit down and write and end of with a splintered story.
The theme or moral of the story is to trust your instincts – your brain and intuition.
