Today, I”m taking a prompt from BlogHer: “If you had a personal assistant who would do your most dreaded tasks, which items from your to-do list would you assign out?”
How I would LOOOOOOVE a personal assistant right now. Love it.
Their first task would be to organize our apartment in a logical way.
Next, they would baby proof. Because they’ve arranged the house, they know that, for example, the master bedroom is completely off limits. But the living room is a complete “yes” space for the Wee One. Any scary wires or loose furniture will be secure because of my PA.
By that time, the Wee One would be comfortable enough with the PA to be left alone with them, and I would take a shower. I only get those every so often nowadays, so chances are good I need one. Then, if things go well, I might nap. (Normally, in a case like this, I would nap first, but I want to test the waters with the baby and the PA.)
Finally, they could settle into their regular tasks. I hate vacuuming and I think meal planning is a bitch. Actually, most decision-making is a pain for me, so what’s what my PA would do, make decisions for me. Especially the mundane ones. Naturally, I would veto and change the ones that I feel strongly about, but it would give me a jumping off point.
