My Library Card

Cohiba and I moved to OH at the end of September, moved in with his folks. (I love my in-laws; I know I am lucky.) Never having purchased a house before, we thought we would find something by now, and alas, we have not. Which means all of our belongings are still packed in storage, beyond what we packed three months ago.

Since we have grandma here, we have more help for the Wee One and I have a little more time to focus on reading and writing. I finished the books I brought with me to read and have been LONGING to read something else! I finally went to the library without Wee One on Friday and got a library card and several books, including the newer “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”

I read it in a day. It was awesome.

If I’m honest, I think the act of reading a book in a whole day was more awesome than the book, which I thought was mediocre. But I haven’t done that in ages, and I loved it.

When was the last time you did that? What did you read? Did you like the latest Harry Potter installment (if you read it)?

  1. I’ve been doing that a lot with Chomsky (at the cost of sleep)! Before that recent shift, it was probably … college? since I’d done it.

It is a treat. Also, it’s a treat to be reading fiction again (after reading so much politics). That unplanned bookstore trip will be yielding rewards for a long time coming!

    1. Girl, trips to the bookstore usually spell a lot of trouble for me, but I’ll need to make one in the next week or so. I mean, Santa will need to make one. And, yes, it will be a rewarding visit.

Okay, your turn.
