I was recently back in St. Louis (Wee One and I did a few weekends of fair in mid-Missouri) and one afternoon, we went out with my (step) grandmother. This meant driving around a part of town I was in a lot as a kid, and a bit in high school, so of course it sparked nostalgia. But none so much as the mall: Crestwood mall.

“I’m Going To Go Get… Nothing.”
Cohiba had knee surgery almost two weeks ago. (He messed up some ligaments working a Jiu Jitsu move he doesn’t normally do.) He was instructed to fast starting midnight the night before, but his surgery wasn’t scheduled until 2 PM the next day. So he was really really hunger, and bordering on hangry, which is normally me.
I told him I was gonna pick up some coffee right after I dropped him off and he was like, “Gah! Don’t tell me that!”
Love Letters To Reader
I’m writing some blog posts in advance, to make it easier to post every day (it obviously hasn’t totally worked) but as I’m thinking about things, ideas are popping up like popcorn and bouncing up out of nowhere. It reminds me of something I did for Cohiba.
Too Much Is Not Enough

However, this one seemed different: a quote and short writing prompt that is actually interesting! and a quick flip through showed they were interesting prompts. For today:
Too much of a good thing is wonderful. Armistead Maupin
Write about a “good thing” of which you can never have too much.
I Met My “One” In High School
Dancing with Fireflies posed the question: Where did you find love? I know I’ve written about different parts of me and Cohiba coming together, but I don’t think I’ve shared the story in it’s entirety. And it’s a really good story. 🙂
Weekend Coffee Share #20
If we were having coffee, I would talk all about the gym I joined and the swimming I started doing. While I know how to swim, I was never on a team or anything, but I joined this gym that has child care! So I can leave the Wee One somewhere safe and exercise. I started swimming because I know what good exercise it is, and its something new for me. I had to go buy a cap and goggles, but I really like it. I like the meditative quality to it.
Guide to Disney’s Drinking Around the World – Cohiba and Sahara style
I realize that, while I’ve talked about Drinking Around the World in EPCOT, but I haven’t actually written a blog post about the fairly thought-out way in which we do it. Continue reading “Guide to Disney’s Drinking Around the World – Cohiba and Sahara style”
Feelings are Fickle Creatures
When asked to think about a time when everything seemed to be going wrong and then suddenly, I knew it would be alright, I think of one I had just last week that is still making a difference for me.
