A New Kind of Literary Hero

What would the Super Hero Version of you look like?  Would you be muscley? Wear a breastplate of gold?

I’m sure this is a common question in most circles of friends (otherwise, who are you hanging out with?) When I saw the title of today’s daily prompt, “Literate for a Day,” and it made me think of what my superpower would be, if I was a super powersy person.

I would be able to pick up a book, any book, and by holding it, be able to absorb and know the information in it. I don’t want to call it osmosis, ’cause it’s a superpower and cooler than that. But this means I would finally have read all important classics that are super boring.

I’m amazed by all the things I’m learning.

I would still have glasses, like I do now, but they would be bigger and stronger and they would also never fog or smudge. (It’s the little things.) I would have a cape, naturally, to curl up in as I’m reading, and my hands would be protected from injury so that they would be able to handle the precious source of my power.

I would use my power for good, obviously, and every time I did something with it, trumpets would sound.
