If we were having coffee, I would tell you about Wee One – she is being adorably clingy right now. (Maybe ’cause I was gone for several days?)
She wants me involved in whatever she’s doing, wants me to help her with things over Nana or Daddy. Cohiba pointed out that, when she plays pretend with her toys, there is always a mommy in the story. We went to the grocery store together and she pointed out a stuffed hippo. When she got one, she called it baby, and then pointed for it’s mommy.
I know it won’t last forever, and part of me will welcome when I don’t have to give her quite as much of my time to her, but for now, her innocence and enthusiasm is beyond precious.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you about Cohiba, clawing at the walls. He has been sleeping, living, and working in the bedroom, mostly because it is so difficult for him to get out and around. Thankfully, we both got out this afternoon (I went to a Galentine’s Day party!), and that was good for him, but he will be so glad when he can move around more easily.
Ugh, speaking of Wee One, I started calling around to different preschools to make appointments to visit them, and they are almost all full. It’s February, early February, and they’re full. This school thing is gonna suck, isn’t it?
Oh! But something so awesome? WO read to me yesterday. She’s not three yet, and she read Brown Bear to me. Just the first of what I hope are many books we read together.
