“If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.”
I don’t like Woody Allen at ALL, but his quote has been in my mind recently. Cohiba has tentatively accepted a really sweet job offer… In Seattle.
Most of me is stoked about the prospect: I’ll get to live in the mountains, which I love, bad-ass coffee, which I also love. But, we’ll be taking the Wee One away from all family, and it’s important to both of us that she grow up around family.
Since that’s the case, we are committing to each other to not stay out there permanently. To move back to the Midwest when Wee One (and her future sibling) is a little older so they can grow up around family. But part of me wonders: when the time comes, will we?
Is God laughing right now?

I was thinking the “will we” line also as I read it. š Seattle is a great city. It’s my hometown. But, I guess we are all partial to our hometowns…
I went in high school and loved it. What are a few of your favorite things about it?
Cloudy skies, not too crowded, but pretty diverse, fast enough paced to be a city but still pretty mellow, nice walks, the green belt, Puget Sound.
