This past Mother’s Day, as I’m living far away from my mother for the first time (don’t judge) and raising my own little girl, I decided to make a card for my mom, and my mother-in-law.
I didn’t get this idea from Pinterest, but I could have, and it worked pretty well. I gobbed some paint on one of her hands, put it on a card and drew flowers out of it. (First I explained what I was going to do and how, and I think she understood. I got better handprints than I thought I would. That just goes to support the idea that she understands way more than I think she does, because she is sensitive. 🙂
This is the first time I’ve done an art project like this with my Wee One, and while I know it won’t be my last, I’m pretty excited about this.

I wrote that in the morning, and mailed the cards off in the afternoon before I took a picture. I am really disappointed! I was so focused on getting them to the mail and back in time to give the Wee One dinner and and and… Maybe mom can send me pics once she gets it. So until then, you’ll just have to trust me. 🙂
