I haven’t done an official Share Your World in awhile, (not to be confused with the traditional sharing I do as a part of blogging) so let’s go!!
Would you rather take a 2 week vacation with an organized tour or take a cruise of your choice?
There’s not a simple answer to this. I thought all day, and there just isn’t. So I think I’ll take the creative route. I’ll take a cruise… Of my choice… And my choice is my design…
So we’ll leave out of New York, to Inverness, Scotland, then to Edinburgh. Newcastle upon Tyne, then Calais for a few days and then Dover and a few days in Bristol. Then Ireland – Dublin, Belfast, Galway. Then we would head south. Bilbao, Spain for a few days, Lisbon, Portugal for a few days, then around to Malaga, Valencia and Barcelona, Spain, all for a few days. Then to Cannes, France for a few days, Cote d’Azure, Rome, Crete… I think you get the gist. I would be cruising, but would get to spend a little time in each place. Some history, some architecture, some more history, some relaxing, a lot of beauty…
Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?
I did like swinging as a kid. Like probably all kids, it was my dream to be able to swing so high and so fast that I flipped over the top bar. It’s probably better that I never achieved that goal, though I worked for years.
Now, I hate swings. (Thanks, head injury!) It’s been 20 years, and I still get dizzy and seasick when I swing, some days even looking at a swing. This is hard those few precious times that Wee One wants to sit on my lap while in the big kid swing and as it is, I can’t watch her *too* closely when I’m pushing her in the baby swing.
What is the most important thing that you ever learned ? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school)
Dang – what a question! Learning how to read, learning how to survive, learning how to knit… These have all served me well in life. I think the most important thing I have ever learned, only by sifting through experience, is what I believe.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
My daughter. Last night, near the end of her bath time, I was playing the part of a hunched over, tired, crazed, arm-waving, odd-sound making “monster,” running past the bathroom door, then into the bathroom, then close to the tub. She was shrieking with laughter. I mean, screaming. I would pop into her view and then back out, eliciting a new wave of laughter. Then, after she got out of the tub and I dried her off, she said “Baby turn.” And ran out the door. Then past, with her arms waving, and back into where I was sitting and watching her.
I have never had so much silly fun with her; I giggle now to think about it. I am so lucky to have her as a daughter.
How about you? What kind of trip would you take? Would there be swings involved?
Thanks so much for participating this week, I enjoyed reading your responses.
