Too Much Is Not Enough

I bought a “Be Inspired” journal from one of the end cap displays at Barnes and Noble yesterday. It is so hard for me to NOT buy everything in a bookstore, but I normally find those kinds of journals trite. However, this one seemed different: a quote and short writing prompt that is actually interesting! and a quick flip through showed they were interesting prompts. For today:

Since today is W, I’m going to talk about a Wee One. Specifically, her speech.

I had a feeling it wasn’t quite progressing as it should be, and today, after a speech evaluation, I find I am right. I’m a little heart sore about it.

Are We Going On Vacation??

Day 23 – V

Vacation Destination

You guys!! I think we’re going to Disney World at the end of the month! For those of you who don’t know, after a far away trip when I was five, I didn’t start going to Disney World until I was with my now-husband Cohiba, who took me on a getaway weekend during a particularly year of grad school in 2011. (It was this weekend, according to Facebook memories – six years.)

Taking Turns… Showing Grace

A little girl pushed my kid today.

We were at the playground with other little kids, and this one girl wanted to play with a ball Wee One had. WO put it down and she picked it up. When WO went back for it, I intervened, and they sort of shared, then forgot the ball.

Later, right before the other girl was about to leave, she walked up to our stuff and said, “My ball.” I corrected her that it was ours. She pouted, went straight to where WO was standing on the sidewalk, and pushed her square in the chest.
