With the help of the WP blog, I found several new prompt events in which to take part, and in the past 20 minutes, I wrote this, my first submission to the three words a day challenge:
On today’s thrift store visit, I see
A bubble skirt and rayon pantsuit from the seventies,
A 1950’s check-print dress, waiting for a martini.
All of it priced too high for me.
But my friend goes in on the reg (ular)
Tomorrow night, news of an uber-sale VIP shindig.
(To which I’m invited with her)
Maybe I won’t have to beg.
