Share Your World – Don’t Run Out Of Gas When You’re Exploring!

A weekly chance from Cee! Check out her page and see what other’s think.

Ever ran out of gas in your vehicle?

Oooh, yes. I was doing that door canvassing gig and was in a suburban part of St. Louis. It wasn’t my car, which is why I wasn’t thinking about how much gas it had: I probably assumed it was full. But it wasn’t. I was on a relatively busy street and I was able to pull over safely and walk to a gas station. It was more inconvenient than really traumatic.

Which are better: black or green olives?

Neither. I abhor olives. I really wish I didn’t, but I do.

If you were a great explorer, what would you explore?

You know, whenever I go somewhere new, especially in nature, I like to pretend I’m the person who discovered it. Like when I went to the Grand Canyon, it was early February, so there weren’t many people there. I hiked up the south rim and imagined I was the person who first found it. What must that have been like? What questions would I have had? What would my next move have been?

Quotes List: At least three of your favorite quotes?

I have trouble just picking three favorite quotes, like, of all time. There are a lot of wise people in the world who have said really wise things… I mean, C.S. Lewis alone would take all day.

So instead, I’ll pick some movie quotes I like. Not necessarily my favorites, but still good ones:

Um, not that I am a 12 year old boy, but there are thousands of quotes from the Hangover trilogy that I love; Cohiba and I both. We have whole conversations from these quotes, and not just as they were written.

Again, not to sound like a 12 year old boy, but I love this movie. I love the series, and these movies are a credit to it.

Role Models. Are you picking up a theme here? 12 year old boy movies. But yeah, lots of quotes in here too.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for my mother-in-law taking care of Wee One while I recovered from a cold she gave me. In the next week, I look forward to celebrating our three year wedding anniversary with Cohiba, which we postponed ’cause I feel crappy.

What about you?
