Back in my day, mom had a catalogue with an awesome toy section at the back of it. I remember spending many a happy hour sitting in the plush great chair turning the pages of this book. Week after week. For several years. In sepia-colored hues.

This past August, as the anniversary of my accident passed for the 22nd time, I was, as always, surprised by how much better I felt when 3:05 passes (the actual time of the crash.) After 3:05, I feel like I can breathe easier. I made it. Another year.
If you’re lucky, you don’t, because that means you were so young when you saw it you don’t remember. (Or you’ve never seen it, in which case you’re not lucky to have something awesome to look forward to.)

This year has been a barren blogging year.
I learned the most wonderful thing yesterday. As if I could not love her any more, The Emma Thompson, Dame Emma Thompson, The Amazing Emma Thompson, wrote her tween daughter a sex guide.
Here in Northwest Washington, I’m in the mountains, sometimes the clouds are hanging in the trees right at I level to where I’m driving or walking. And I wonder, is that because the clouds are so low? Or am I so high?
I did a little research and found out that the clouds are ledges to heaven. No, they’re like little drains to take people from place to place. No, that wasn’t it either.

Today, I drove four hours to and from Cincinnati for a jiu jitzu competition Cohiba was in. This was his first since he banged up his knee, and is relieved to have it behind him.
