I had a story idea the other day. It came through one of my favorite avenues: those little pre-sleep dreams.
Scrunchy Identity Crisis: A Tiny Tale
We all wanted the same thing, and I was one of the first ones taken off the rack. A brand new scrunchy. Like the others, I was white decorated with a red emblem. I was edged with a fine, though lengthy, lace trim. A woman bought me and took me to her home. I was so excited to see the world.
Brontosaurus Birthday
The most amazing wonderful thing happened with Wee One this morning.
8/8 Challenges of 2019
I generally don’t like resolutions. But I do like their cousin, annual challenge! I’ve chosen several challenges to pursue over the past few years, and think its valuable to keep the trend going. I have updated my challenges from 2018, and am armed this New Year’s Day with a mimosa and a small bowl of Chex mix.
My Love For Emma Thompson Grows
I learned the most wonderful thing yesterday. As if I could not love her any more, The Emma Thompson, Dame Emma Thompson, The Amazing Emma Thompson, wrote her tween daughter a sex guide.
What’s Really Under The Clouds?
Here in Northwest Washington, I’m in the mountains, sometimes the clouds are hanging in the trees right at I level to where I’m driving or walking. And I wonder, is that because the clouds are so low? Or am I so high?
I did a little research and found out that the clouds are ledges to heaven. No, they’re like little drains to take people from place to place. No, that wasn’t it either.

This is one of the older posts I abandoned, but I don’t remember where I was going with it. But I miss the mountains.

Diaper Di Diaper
One day while E.C. was planning a small baby caper
She felt something odd in her diaper di diaper.
Armistice Day
Today, I drove four hours to and from Cincinnati for a jiu jitzu competition Cohiba was in. This was his first since he banged up his knee, and is relieved to have it behind him.
Adulting Fail
My girlfriends and I were talking the other day about feeling like “Whoa” about being adults, because two of us had just gone to our first parent-teacher conference.
Do You Create A Life On Autopilot?
This is another post I started and abandoned, probably in late 2015.
***
I found a blog that referred to going through life on auto-pilot. Before these big changes of a baby and a move, I felt like I was doing this, going through life on auto-pilot.
