Columbus is having a sister March to the Women’s March on Washington that is to take place on the 21th, the day after the inauguration, and they decided to have it a week early to allow people to march both here and there. I haven’t taken part in a political march in awhile; maybe since undergrad.

Weekend Coffee Share #41

If we were having coffee, it would be after I put Wee One down for her nap, so an afternoon coffee. I tried to take WO to church this morning. Alas, this was their “celebration day,” so instead of having an earlier and later service, they just had one. Which we missed. I know I shouldn’t take it personally, but I sort of do. The upshot is that it is like three minutes from Casa In-Laws, so hopefully, it will be a nice church to go to.
What A Week
There is no such thing as writers block, I tell myself as I reflect on the passage of silence behind me. I haven’t given time to writing, particularly this week, as much as I want to.
I have been agog with the things that have been happening since the new president took office.
I Met My “One” In High School
Dancing with Fireflies posed the question: Where did you find love? I know I’ve written about different parts of me and Cohiba coming together, but I don’t think I’ve shared the story in it’s entirety. And it’s a really good story. 🙂
World Sharing in 2017!
It’s a new year, and a new opportunity to share your world! To start us off for 2017, Cee asks us some getting to know you questions, and I would love to hear about you as well!

Mothering With Brain Damage
This winter, since I had some time to get “settled,” and I am in Ohio and its cold, I found Wee One some classes and activities. Not too many, because I don’t think its right for her, but some. We really liked The Little Gym in Seattle, but it’s really far from where I live, and I found a tumbling tot class nearby (and much cheaper!)
WO loves going, watching the other kids, climbing on things, and the trampoline. She is working so hard to jump these days and loves the trampoline, especially when I get on with her, hold her hands, and jump with her. To be honest, I like it, too, until I get off and then I feel it: my head injury.
I Am Capable of Writing 3,000 Words
But I don’t know if my computer is capable of saving them. I can’t find the document anywhere, and I fear it’s gone for good. So much dialogue.
Weekend Coffee Share #40 – Ohio Winter

If we were having coffee, it would be because you got on a plane and flew here from another place. I have not really made friends out here, and that’s kind of sad. I met with a mom and her son earlier this week, one I have talked to before, and it was nice. I’ve also started going to an open playtime at the local community center, just to let Wee One run off some steam in this dead of winter (more on that later) and climb and play on things we don’t have at Casa In-Laws.
3 Day Quote Challenge – Day 3
After long last, I am doing the third day of the quote challenge given to me by Jess over at Daring to Jess

I used to really believe that children are a distraction from more important things. Parents have to give so many things up. After all, since women have to leave work to raise children, or are more likely to, they don’t do as well in a job.
The Long(ish) Arm Of Didn’t Just Wake Up
Thanks to seeing posts like from a Thesis Whisper’s and an Anxious Mother, I’ve gotten ideas to look at a review of this blog’s past year’s statistics.
