Thanks to seeing posts like from a Thesis Whisper’s and an Anxious Mother, I’ve gotten ideas to look at a review of this blog’s past year’s statistics.

Top 10 Best Posts of Creo Somnium
These are the ten bests posts I like on this blog, though not necessarily the ones looked at most often. They are in no particular order.

Last Words to my Dying Grandma
It just so happens that this post IS the one most looked at. I look at Google search terms, and find that people google things about “death” “dying family member,” or “dying grandmother.” But it made this list because I wrote it immediately after it happened, and I can remember it so clearly when I read it. That’s actually a common theme of the posts I chose: they all call back memories so clearly or in such a unique way that I love them.
Pride Goeth Before Writer’s Block
I had just commented in my Weekend Coffee Share that I feel like I’m on top of these daily posts-even with the baby-and here I am. Wordless.
But in this echoing chamber, I would like to talk about the blogger Rarasaur and the feature she did yesterday of fellow bloggers.
Switcheroo or Being Yourself
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Switcheroo.”
One of the challenges of blogging is looking at other’s blogs and comparing your own efforts with theirs. (I should say that’s a problem for me – am I the only one who does that?)
Adding Creativty through the 51/51 Challenge
When I create my annual challenges, this one called the 51/51 Challenge, I like to include things that encourage me to be creative. (Wonder about the 51/51 Challenge? Look HERE!) To that end, one of the goals this year was to build up the Alba Garrison pinterest boards and blog site.

Post Game Wrap-Up
Today’s daily prompt about the longest stretch of time that I’ve posted to this blog provides me with the end-of-month opportunity I was hoping for: To reflect on this NaBloPoMo, my first Mo of doing it.
Stolen Muse
Sometimes I think pregnancy has stolen my muse. I am 11 weeks in and so very tired that there is little I want to do that requires more than on optic nerve. Watching Harry Potter or other things on Netflix, keeping up with the news here in #Ferguson. I have tried painting, tried drawing (get distracted), tried bicycling (bonk in 10 minutes), tried cooking (ugh – really? Eat that?) and, yes, tried writing (such a heavy pen).
4 Phrases That Should Die a Natural Death
Pop culture being what it is, there are things that cycle in and out of fashion, like clothes, music genres and verbal phrases. There are, at present, a set of phrases that should be stricken from everyday use.

Pay it Forward – Liebster Award
Hello friends! It is with joy that I’m writing you today to inform that my newest blogging BFF has nominated me for the Liebster Award, an unofficial recognition offered among the blogging community
It is believed that the Liebster Award began 2010 in Germany, hence the German name. “Liebster” is a German word for things like favorite, sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. It was originally, according to some sources, for newer blogs with less than 3.000 followers, but has somehow morphed into those with less than 200 followers. It is meant to create new connections and an environment of a appreciation for the experience and skill of other writers around us.
And here at Creo Somnium, we love creation. 🙂
The rules of the Liebster Award are as follows:
Inspiration Engine 12 – Prompts
This is a weekly post I do to highlight blogs or bloggers who have inspired me in some way during this week – another car on my imagination train!
This week’s inspiration focuses mainly on prompts, suggestions of things to write about and do. The first I have already explained, the post that inspired the 36/36 challenge by Lady Kell of Kincavel. I’ve already determined my own things to do this year (wrote about here) and I look forward to getting to them! Wanna join me? It’s easy – make your own list and then tell me in your comments so I can cheer you on and get inspired by you!
